The Sig Sauer P220 Carry Elite Stainless is a large, elite-beavertail frame, semi-automatic handgun, with a shorter overall length to give it a lower profile for conceal and carry purposes. It also functions as a recreational, competitive, and self-defense handgun. It has the 4-point safety system that features, a decocking lever, an automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and a trigger bar disconnector. The trigger is a short reset trigger (SRT), with double or single action. The single action has an approximate pull of 4.4-pounds, while the double action has an approximate pull of 10-pounds.
The P220 Carry Elite frame and slide material are both made from stainless steel, and both have a natural stainless finish. The grips are custom rosewood, with front strap checkering. The controls, sights, dust cover, safety switches, along with the trigger all have have black accents. The magazine holds 8-rounds of .45 ACP ammunition, and has the option for users to upgrade to a 10-round single stack extended magazine. The sights are the 3 white dot SigLite night sights. The overall length is 7.1-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 3.9-inches. It has an integrated accessory rail for mounting a light or tactical laser onto it.
