The Sig Sauer P290 Two Tone is a small frame handgun designed for a low profile conceal and carry, self-defense, and back-up weapon usage. The overall length is 5.5-inches, with a height of 3.9-inches, and a barrel length of 2.9-inches. The hammer does not contact the firing pin until the trigger is pulled by the user, and the hammer rests inside the slide to help prevent snagging on clothing for an accidental firing. The sights are the 3 white dot SigLite night sights.
The P290 Two Tone frame is made of polymer, and has a black finish. The slide is made of stainless steel, and comes in either a Nitron or natural stainless finish. It fires a 6-round magazine of 9mm ammunition. It has a passive firing safety pin on the slide, and also has a dust cover. The trigger is double action only, with a pull of approximately 9-pounds. The grips have interchangeable plates to allow users to add-on customized grips; such as wood, personal engraved, or polymer.
