The Smith & Wesson SW1911 DK was introduced to the commercial market in 2005, as a competitive, on-duty, self-defense pistol. It features a overall length of 8.7-inches, with a 5-inch barrel length. The trigger competition match with over travel stop. The model was designed in collaboration with Doug Koenig as a champion series pistol.
The SW1911 DK was designed with Doug Koenig's flat competition speed trigger with over travel stop, and a competition speed configuration speed trigger. The grip is a comination of G-10 and wood high-performance, with a two tone finish for the entire frame of the pistol, and a stainless steel slide.
