The Winchester Repeating Arms Model 71 Standard is made from select walnut the gun itself is lever action with a full pistol grip stock, the wood is coverend in a high gloss finish. It has a 24" barrel and has a half magazine in order to keep the mag flush. The gun only comes in one caliber and that is 348 WCF. It has open buckhorn style sights.
Measured from head to tail the gun has an overall length of just over 43 inches and weighs in at around 8 lbs flat with no bullets inside.
The Model 71 Standard is a classic old west style gun that most people think of. If you are a Red Blooded American you just have to have one of these if you can afford it. The MSRP is $1,469 and may be out of the reach of many young hunters.
