The Remington model 770 is available in 242 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, 270 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield, 308 Winchester,7mm Remington, and 300 Winchester Mag. This gun has an MSRP Starting at $373.00 and that is shocking.
As with all Remington rifles it promised out-of-the-box accuracy for hunting and target shooting. This gun is based off the famous Remington model 710. This gun comes with a pre-mounted and bore-sighted 3-9x40mm rifle-scope. If you are not familiar with the term bore-sighted it means the scope has been adjusted fairly well although it has not been sighted in fully. You will thus need to take this gun out and shoot it at an outdoor range if you want complete long range accuracy, but it nonetheless comes with a 3-9x40mm scope.
All this for under $400 ? Whaaa? If you are looking for a first or second rifle and don't want to spend lots of money this gun really is the best bang for your buck. It has the same bolt action that is used on the Remington 700 that cost 3-500 dollars more.
