The Smith & Wesson Model 17 is a classic collectors revolver, that is also known for competitive, recreational, and small game hunting. It was origins come from the K-22 series that was manufactured in the early 1900's for shooters who wished to use it in less than ideal conditions, and became popular amongst shooters in the 1940's.
