The Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Nitron is a medium sized, semi-automatic handgun designed for self-defense, along with conceal and carry purposes. It stems from the Granite Rail Series that was later named the Revolution series after non-rail models were introduced, and finally Sig Sauer's version of an updated version of John Browning's 1911 series of handgun. Some of the features include an enhanced beavertail safety, extended thumb safety on the left side, along with skeletonized hammer and trigger.
The overall length of the 1911 Ultra Nitron is 6.8-inches, with a height of 4.8-inches, and a barrel length of 3.3-inches. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, and features a black hard anodized finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a natural stainless finish. The sights are the 3 green dot low profile night sights. The trigger is single action only, with a pull of approximately 5-pounds. The magazine holds 7-rounds of .45 ACP ammunition. The grips are custom black wood, and have 25-line per inch checkering.
