The Sig Sauer SP2022 Black Diamond Plate is part of the Pro Series model of handguns. The SP2022 is a medium sized, semi-automatic handgun designed for self-defense, on-duty, along with conceal and carry purposes. The Pro Series has features such as a polymer frame, interchangeable grips, and a modular fire control unit. The frame also has a Picatinny rail that allows users to mount a tactical light or laser onto it. The controls are on the left side, and does not feature a manual safety. The slide also has front serrations for an easy grip while loading rounds into the chamber.
The overall length of the P2022 Black Diamon Plate is 7.4-inches, with a height of 5.4-inches, and a barrel length of 3.9-inches. The frame material is made from polymer, and features a black polymer finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features black diamond plated engraving along with a Nitron finish. The grips are black polymer, and have front strap polymer. The magazines can hold 10 or 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition. The sights are the 3 white dot SIGLITE night sights. The trigger is a short reset trigger, and has an approximate pull of 5.5-6.5 pounds on the double action.
