The Sig Sauer P229 Enhanced Elite is a medium sized, semi-automatic handgun designed for recreational shooting and personal protection. It is one of two series models (P226 and P229) that combine the Elite series model features into one handgun. This includes features such as one-piece ergonomic grip that has a stippling pattern, beavertail frame, front strap checkering, "Elite" engraving on the slide, along with short reset trigger (SRT) system.
The overall length fo the P229 Enhanced Elite is 7.4-inches, with a height of 5.1-inches, and a barrel length of 3.9-inches. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and has a black Nitron finish. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, and has a hard black anodized finish. The magazine capacity is 15-rounds for 9mm, 12-rounds for .357 SIG, and 12-rounds for .40 S&W. The sights are the 3 white dot SIGLITE night sights. The trigger pull is approximately 4.4-pounds for single action and 10-pounds for double action. The slide also has front cocking serrations, along with an accessory rail on the frame to mount a tactical light or laser onto it.
