The Sig Sauer P226 Tactical Operations is a full-sized, semi-automatic handgun that includes a beavertail, designed for recreational, self-defense, along with competitive shooting. The handgun features the 4-point safety system that includes the decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and a trigger bar disconnector. The frame has an integrated Picatinny rail that allows users to mount a tactical light or laser onto it. It comes with 4 magwell magazines that can hold 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition, or 4 magazines that can hold15-rounds of 40 S&W or .357 SIG caliber ammunition.
The overall length of the P226 Tactical Operations is 8.2-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches (not including the magwell), and a barrel length of 4.4-inches. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, with a black hard coat anodized finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, with a black Nitron finish. The trigger pull is approximately 4.4-pounds (Single) or 10-pounds (Double), and has an SRT that allow more accurate shooting. The sights are 2 white dot SIGLITE night sights on the rear, and a front TRUGLO Tritium fiber optic sight. The grips are black polymer with a checkering on the front strap.
