0/5Sig Sauer P220 Carry SAS Gen 2 Nitron
Posted by Jason Brumett
The Sig Sauer P220 Carry SAS Generation 2 is a semi-automatic handgun designed to have a shorter overall length than regular size P220 models. This gives it a lower profile for conceal and carry purposes. It also functions as a recreational, competitive, and self-defense handgun. It has the 4-point safety system that features a decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, a safety intercept notch, along with a trigger bar disconnector. The frame and slide has a melt anti-snag treatment to allow users to be able to pull the weapon out from under clothing without the enhanced risk of it getting caught on some fabric or other type of material.
The overall length of the P220 SAS Gen 2 is 7.1-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 3.9-inches. Trigger is a short reset trigger (SRT), in double and single action. The single action has an approximate pull of 4.4-pounds, and the double has an approximate pull of 10-pounds. The grips are black polymer with front strap serrations. The frame material is made from alloy, with a black hard coat anodized finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and has a black Nitron finish or natural stainless finish (two-tone version). It holds an 8-round clip of .45 ACP ammunition, and has the option for users to add an extended 10-round single stack magazine. The sights are the 3 white dot SigLite night sights.
