The Sig Sauer P220 Elite Dark Threaded Barrel (TB) is a large beavertail frame semi-automatic handgun designed for recreational, competitive, and self-defense shooting purposes. It has the 4-point safety system that includes, a decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, a safety intercept notch, along with a trigger bar disconnector. The sights are adjustable combat sights that can be compensated for elevation and windage, along with an M1913 Picatinny rail for mounting a light or tactical laser.
The P220 Elite Dark TB overall length is 8.3-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.9-inches. The magazine holds an 8-round clip of .45 ACP ammunition, and has an option for users to add a 10-round single stack magazine. The frame is made of alloy, with a Black Hard Coat Anodized finish. The slide is made of stainless steel, with a Black Nitron finish. The barrel is also available in a threaded version for users to add a suppressor onto it. The grips are black checkered aluminum with front strap checkering.
