The Smith & Wesson M&P15 VTAC II Viking Tactics is an AR-15 semi-automatic tactical rifle design made in conjunction with Kyle Lamb of Viking Tactics. It holds 30-round magazine clips of .223 caliber ammunition. The overall length is 36.75-inches with the butt stock fully extended, and a 16-inch barrel that is made of 4150 CMV steel that has a 1:8" twist.
The M&P15 VTAC II comes with a VTAC light mount on a Troy Extreme TRX handguard that reduces heat while allowing for more accurate shooting. The magazine release is similar to the original AR-15 design, and has a flash hinder to move sound and gas forward, directing it away from the shooter.
