When you think of single-shot rifles, think of the best. Think Ruger No.1, the standard for American-Made single-shot rifles. Strong, simple breech mechanism allows the Ruger No. 1 single shot to be made with a minimum of mechanical contraptions. The Varminter model's ejector mechanism is designed to provide great leverage at the point where the ejector engages the rim or groove of the cartridge case. It can be adjusted to provide extraction only. A sliding shotgun type tang safety provides both security and ease of operation. Blued barrel on a walnut stock.
