The Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Nitron is a medium sized, semi-automatic handgun designed for self-defense, along with conceal and carry purposes. It stems from the Granite Rail Series that was later named the Revolution series after non-rail models were introduced, and finally Sig Sauer's version of an updated version of John Browning's 1911 series of handgun. The overall length of the 1911 Ultra Nitron is 6.8-inches, with a height of 4.8-inches, and a barrel length of 3.3-inches. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, and features a black hard anodized finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a natural stainless finish. The sights are the 3 green dot low profile night sights. The trigger is single action only, with a pull of approximately 5-pounds. The magazine holds 7-rounds of .45 ACP ammunition. The grips are custom black wood, and have 25-line per inch checkering.
