The 1892 Deluxe Octagon by Winchester Repeating Arms is an octagonal barreled rifle that is available in 4 calibers; 44 rem mag, 357 mag, 44 40 win, 45 colt. This octagonal barrel is 24", and the overall gun length is 41.5" This gun is a bit expensive as the price is $1,669.99 according to Winchester's website.
The barrel like we say is 24" blued barrel that is octagonal. This does not mean it is less accurate. Rumor used to be that round barreled guns were more accurate than the octagonal, this is not so. The reason people claimed round barreled guns were more accurate by the way is just because only the most skilled gunsmith could make a round barrel. In modern times the Octagon barrel is just as accurate, and i think it looks more 1800's military or 1800s old west.
This of course is a lever action with a tubular magazine, the stock is made from walnut and has a pistol grip. The butt of the gun has a old school crescent shape, and this gun has buckhorn rear sights.
