0/5Winchester 1892 Button Magazine
Posted by Jason Brumett
The Winchester Repeating arms 1882 Button Magazine rifle comes in 3 calibers; 44 Rem. Mag, 367 Mag., and 45 Colt. With a 6lb weight these guns are super lightweight even comparing them to many of the other 1880s era Winchester Rifles that usually weight in at between 7 and 8 lbs. This gun is a classic lever action vintage old western style rifle that is as fun to shoot as it is to look at.
This guns receiver has a blueish finish and is made from steel, the barrel is also blued and is half round and half octagon. Rumor used to be that round barreled guns were more accurate than the octagonal, so i guess this gun shoots alright lol. The reason people claimed round barreled guns were more accurate by the way is just because only the most skilled gunsmith could make a round barrel.
The stock on this gun is Grade 1 walnut and it simply has an oil finish and nothing more. The butt-plate is crescent style, it has a button magazine (thus the name), and a Buckhorn Rear sight. MSRP on this puppy is $1,399 according to Winchester.
