The Colt 1991® Series O1091 or Colts Government Model .45 Auto 1991 with it's 5" barrel is chambered in .45 acp, and it's magazine holds 7. This gun has a stainless steel receiver with brushed metal slide. It is a Spur Hammer style making the gun a bit more aggressive looking. This is a single action pistol and has an overall length of 8.5 inches and weighs roughly 34-36 oz depending on what source you are checking.
The Colt 1991 Series is a direct descendant of the original Colt M1911. A long trigger, flat mainspring housing and original style recoil spring system remain from the original M1911 design. Upgrades from the original include white dot sights and a lowered ejection port for extra reliability. It still remains “the standard†that everyone tries to imitate, but no one duplicates.
