The Sig Sauer m400 SWAT is a semi-automatic rifle designed for military, law enforcement, hunting, along with competitive shooting purposes. It is a legal civilian version of the M4 carbine military design with a few changes and features. The barrel has a 16-inch chrome lined barrel with a phosphate coat to help ensure it does not corrode. It has a quad M1913 Picatinny rail for adding accessories such as a optical sight, vertical fore grip, tactical laser, or white light. It has quick detachable sling mount rings and an ambidextrous magazine release for right or left handed shooters.
The overall length of the M400 SWAT is 32.3-inches with the stock retracted, and a full length of 35.6-inches with the stock fully extended. The barrel is 16-inches with a 1 in 7 inch twist and an A2 flash suppressor on the end. It has an aluminum AR-15 style magazine that holds 30-rounds of 5.56 x 45 mm NATO (.223 caliber) ammunition. The trigger pull is approximately 7.6-pounds of pressure. It is direct impingement operated with a locking bolt. The lower receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. The rear sight is a flip-up adjustable sight, and the front is a "F" marked sight post. The finish is black hard coat anodized and has a 6 position telescopic butt stock.
