The Sig Sauer 1911 Scorpion Carry is a medium frame, semi-automatic handgun that is designed for self-defense, tactical, along with conceal and carry purposes. It stems from the Granite Series Rail models that were later renamed to Revolution series after non-rail handguns were introduced, and finally a modern update of John Browning's classic 1911 model. Some of the features include a black finish on the controls, an extended ambidextrous thumb safety, enhanced beavertail grip safety, and a skeletonized hammer. The frame has a M1913 Picatinny rail for mounting a tactical light, laser, or sight rail onto the frame.
The overall length of the 1911 Scorpion Carry is 7.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.2-inches. The frame material is made from stainless steel, and features a custom flat dark earth finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a flat dark earth finish. The grips are Hogue G-10 Piranha with G-10 mainspring housing. The magazine holds 8-rounds of .45 ACP ammunition. The trigger is single action only, with an approximate pull of 5-pounds. The sights are low-profile 3 green dot night sights.
