The Sig Sauer Mosquito Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Threaded Barrel (TB) is a semi-automatic handgun that is 90% of the frame size as the P226 Sig model handgun. It was designed to save money on ammunition for target and range practice shooting; while giving the same type of feel along with controls as the full sized Sig Sauer Model handguns. The controls are featured on the left side, and include a break down lever, decocking lever, reversible magazine catch, along with a safety selector switch on both sides for ambidextrous shooters. It has an integrated accessory rail for mounting a tactical light, laser, or sight rail onto it. It also has a threaded barrel for mounting a suppressor onto it.
The overall length of the Mosquito FDE TB is 8.3-inches, with a height of 5.3-inches, and a barrel length of 4.9-inches. The frame material is made from polymer, and features a flat dark earth finish. The slide material is made from aluminum alloy, and features a flat dark earth finish. The grips are black polymer, and feature front strap serrations. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation, and the front sight is fixed. The magazine holds 10-rounds of .22LR ammunition. The trigger pull is approximately 7-pounds for the single action, and approximately 14-pounds for the double action.
