The Sig Sauer P226 Threaded Barrel Combat is a large frame handgun designed for self-defense, recreational, along with military sidearm purposes. The threaded barrel version differs from the combat version in that the barrel has external threads to allow users to mount a suppressor onto it. It features the 4-point safety system that includes, a decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, along with a trigger bar disconnector. The frame has an M1913 Picatinny raid for mounting a tactical light or laser onto it. The internal components are coated in phosphate to allow users to fire a large amount of rounds with less jams, along with reduced corrosion on the parts compared to other P226 handgun models.
The overall length of the P226 Combat TB is 8.1-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.9-inches. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, with a flat dark earth anodized finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, with a grey Nitron finish. The sights are the 3 white dot SIGLITE night sights, or also can be bought in the adjustable contrast version. The magazine holds 15-rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition. The grips are flat dark earth polymer that include front strap serrations. The trigger pull is approximately 4.4-pounds (Single) or 10-pounds (Double).
