The Sig Sauer P226 Elite Stainless is a large frame handgun with an elite extended beavertail on the frame. It was designed for recreational and self-defense purposes. It has the 4-point safety system that features a decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and a trigger bar disconnector. The slide also has front and rear cocking serrations to make grip while chambering rounds easier. The grips are custom rosewood, and feature front strap checkering. The frame has an integrated rail for mounting a tactical light or laser onto it.
The overall length of the P226 Elite Stainless 7.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.4-inches. The frame and slide material are made from stainless steel, with a natural stainless finish on both of them. The magazines hold 15-rounds of 9mm, 12-rounds of .357 SIG or .40 S&W ammunition. The sights can either be adjustable contrast or the 3 white dot SIGLITE night sights. The trigger pull is approximately 4.4-pounds for the Single Action, and approximately 10-pounds of pull for the double action.
