The Model 640 made by Smith and Wesson is a small j-frame revolver first made back in the 1950s. The Chiefs Special as its also known is chambered in 357 Magnum but also takes the shorter 38 special rounds. Due to it's size this revolver only holds 5 rounds at 1 time.
The Smith and Wesson Model 640 has a small internal hammer that helps with concealment and prevents the revolver from snagging on clothes.
This gun weighs in at 23 oz empty, 6.56" in length, and has a 2.125" barrel. The frame and cylinder are stainless steel ensuring this gun will last a lifetime.
