0/5Winchester Model 1885 Traditional Sporter
Posted by Jason Brumett

The Model 1885 Traditional Sporter (case hardened) from Winchester Repeating Arms is a case hardened old west styled gun that weighs in at a heavy 10 lbs 8 oz. We say heavy as most modern rifles weight around 7 or 8 lbs so this gun i a bit heavier. The 1885 Traditional Sporter comes in 4 calibers; 38-55 win, 45-70, 45-90, 40-65. If these rounds sound a bit strange that is because most are from around the late 1800's. You may have to hit up specialty ammo store depending on what caliber you get.
Nothing can be more representative of the opening of the American West and the early days of the Winchester Firearms brand than a single-shot rifle. They were the days of the great cattle drives, westbound wagon trains and herds of buffalo roaming the dusty plains. It was a time when men of courage and vision ... and their Winchester rifles led the way. They still do.
