The 308 Winchester Magnum, or the 25-06 Remington Model 700 XCR II Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Edition has a barrel length of 24", and overall length of 46.5" and is covered in Realtree AP camo. You can no longer buy the 308 Winchester new from Remington but you can no doubt find it elsewhere. The 25-06 version of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Edition 700 is still to be found new.
We have no reason to talk up the Remington Model 700 it's already made a name for itself. It claims to be the " most accurate out-of-the-box rifle made" it comes defaulted with the X-Mark Pro® trigger system that is adjustable, it also has the TriNyte Corrosion Control System, and the SuperCell recoil pad that will reduce around 50% of total recoil.
