The Sig Sauer 1911 22LR Flat Dark Earth is a semi-automatic handgun designed for sport, range, and target practice shooting. It was designed to give the same feel as other 1911 models while it is being fired, and save shooters money on ammunition at the range in the process. The features include black finished controls, enhanced beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, skeletonized hammer and trigger. It also has a magazine safety, drop safety, and firing pin safety.
The overall length of the 1911 22LR Flat Dark Earth is 8.5-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 5-inches. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, and features a flat dark earth finish. The slide material is made from aluminum alloy, and features a flat dark earth finish. The grips are custom rose wood, with U.S. engraved into them. The trigger is single action only, with a pull of approximately 5-pounds. The magazine holds 10-rounds of .22LR ammunition. The front sight is fixed with adjustable contrast rear sights.
