The Sig Sauer 1911 Target Nitron is a full sized, semi-automatic handgun designed for self-defense, along with conceal and carry purposes. It has updated features that include a skeletonized combat hammer, beavertail safety grip, an extended thumb safety, safety intercept notch, along with a firing pin safety. The controls are featured on the left side, and it has a match grade barrel, hammer, along with a trigger. The frame and slide have been dehorned to ensure it does not catch on any material or clothing when it is being pulled out for use.
The overall length of the 1911 Target Nitron is 8.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 5-inches. The frame material is made from stainless steel, and has a black nitron finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The grips are custom rosewood, and feature 25-line per square inch checkering on the strap. The trigger pull is approximately 5-pounds for the single action. It holds a 8-round magazine of .45 ACP ammunition. The sights are adjustable low profile 3 white dot night sights.
