The Sig Sauer P229 Sig-Anti-Snag Gen 2 is a semi-automatic medium size frame handgun designed for back-up weapon, self-defense, and primary conceal and carry purposes. The SAS model has a lower profile that allows users to have the weapon concealed and not have to worry about it catching on clothing or other material when it is pulled out to be used in case of an emergency. The frame and slide are put through a custom shop that gives radical dehorning on them to make them as much of a snag free profile as possible.
The overall length of the P229 SAS Gen 2 is 7.1-inches, with a height of 5.4-inches, and a barrel length of 3.9-inches. The frame material is made from aluminum alloy, and has a black hard coat anodized finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel and has a black Nitron finish. The magazines hold 15-rounds of 9mm ammunition, or 12-rounds of .357 SIG or .40S&W. The sights are the 3 white dot SIGLITE night sights. The grips are black one-piece ergonomic grips that have no front straps. The trigger pull is 10-pounds in double and 4.4-pounds in single action. It has the short reset trigger on it that allows users to get 60% less pull to allow for more accurate shooting during the firing cycle.
