The Smith and Wesson Model 442 is a internal hammer double action small pistol firing the 38 special +p cartridge. The internal hammer feature is a great feature if you plan to conceal carry, as normal hammers tend to catch on clothing, pockets, pants etc. The internal hammer also decreased the size of the revolvers outline.
The S&W Model 442 is a small revolver and like most smaller revolvers it only holds 5 rounds. It only weighs 15 oz (empty) so this gun has some recoil. It's 6.31" long in total, has a tiny 1.8" barrel is made of Smith & Wesson’s unique Scandium Alloy high strength frames allow for the lightest revolvers
