The Smith & Wesson Model 686 Plus is an L frame revolver that has both a standard 6 and an extended 7 shot revolving chamber. 7 shot revolvers like the Model 686 Plus are rare in the world of firearms, but hypothetically provided a edge back in the time when revolvers reigned supreme. Figuring out when your enemy is out of ammo was as simple as counting to 6 back then, and what a 7 shooter would do is a give you 1 extra shot, of course these are hypothetical assumptions and not all Model 686 Plus revolvers were 7 shooters anyhow.
The S & W 686 Plus was a 357 / 38 special chambered double action revolver that was covered in satin stainless, and had a synthetic polymer grip for comfort. It was roughly 8" long and weighed in at 36 oz. All in all a great revolver for personal protection, home defense, and of course as a duty gun as S&W is a reliable weapons manufacturer.
