The Ruger 10 22 Sporter is light weight slightly more compact version of the popular Ruger 10/22. The barrel is only 18" vs the 20" and it comes only in American Walnut and an alloy steel barrel. It has a rear adjustable sight that sits in about the middle of the barrel, and while this may seem a bit strange it actually works just fine in practice.
This is a classic American 22 rifle that many kids have grown up shooting over the years. A great gun to have and own, and at a new MSRP of $379.00 this gun is a good buy. Getting one used from a gun shop or pawn store we are guessing you could get this gun for $150 or so. A great deal for an awesome rifle.
