The Ruger M77 Hawkeye Sporter with its Hawkeye Mate Stainless finish, and stainless steel barrel will make a great marine, or general purpose rifle that will withstand just about anything nature can through it's way.
The Hawkeye Sporter comes in the following calibers; 280 rem, 243 win, 270 win, 7mm rem mag, 30-06, 300 win mag, 308 win, 338 win mag.
It has either a 4 or 3 round capacity (rather low), but when you are shooting a caliber like the 338 win mag it just takes one. :)
MSRP on this booger is $949 set by Ruger. All together a decent gun package at an average price.
