The Remington 597 HB is an excellent 22 LR and since it's a Remington it promises unrivaled out of the box accuracy. This 16" barrel is held by a rugged synthetic stock that allows for good grip. The hammer is Teflon/ Nickel plated for a nice crisp trigger pull. It has a nice drop magazine that holds 10, and like many of the more popular high end rifles and pistols this gun stays held open when there are not more bullets in the mag. In my opinion this helps teach gun safety, by making the whole process a little more transparent and not so confusing for the youth.
