With a barrel length of between 18" and 20" it is fine for maneuvering amongst dense brush. This gun has been in use and tested in the field since 1983 so any flaws that it once had have seen been fixed. It is because of this that the gun is reliable, and because it's Remington you know it's accurate. It is available in 223 Remington, 243, 260, 7mm-08, 308 Winchester, 243 Winchester
All in all this is a very goo reliable gun for hunting.
