The Remington 700 SPS Long Range is built to handle not just big game, but big game at long rage, and it currently offers these chambers; 25-06 Rem, 7mm Rem, 300 Win Mag, 400 Rem Mag Ultra. The 700 Remington standard is a mainstay of the large game hunting community, and the SPS Long Range 700 takes that platform and enhances it with things like a 26" not a 21" heavy contour barrel. More ergonomically designed synthetic stock and better grip.
It also comes with the standard 700 Remington features like a drilled and tapped receiver, sling swivel studs, proper bolt action etc. If you are looking to take down game like big horn sheep that are notorious for keeping hunters at a distance this gun may be the one you want, and at $739.00 average MSRP its a steal.
The only problem is that this gun does not come with a scope or bi-pod. So if are planning to use this booger right you will have to spend several hundred more on a proper scope and bi-pod. Just a thought.
