The Remington Model 870 Express Slug is a pump-action hunting shotgun chambered in 12 gauge and 20 gauge. The M870 is a family of pump-action shotguns with a variety of hunting and tactical models. What makes the Express Slug a model on its own is that it shoots specifically slugs. It comes with either an 18.5" or 23" rifled barrel and the barrel is heavy making the recoil a little bit lighter. Other features include a black synthetic stock and a cantilever scope mount, which looks similar to a Picatinny rail, for easy mounting of a sight or scope--otherwise it doesn’t have any sights. Remington recommends the Slug for hunting deer.
