The Sig Sauer 1911 Tactical Operations Threaded barrel (TB) is a large frame handgun designed for self-defense, along with tactical shooting purposes. The original model line was the Granite Series Rail (GSR), which was followed by the Revolution series that added non-rail models, and eventually led to the Sig Sauer version of the classic John Browning 1911 model. Some of the features include a extended beavertail safety, ambidextrous extended thumb safety, along with a skeletonized hammer. It has an M1913 Picatinny rail on the frame for mounting a tactical light, laser, or sight rail onto the frame. The TB allows for users to also mount a suppressor onto the barrel.
The overall length of the 1911 Tacops TB is 9.2-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 5.5-inches. The frame material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The magazine holds 8-rounds of .45 ACP ammunition. The sights are low profile 3 dot night sights. The trigger is single action only, and has a pull of approximately 5-pounds.
