The Sig Sauer 1911 Carry Nitron is a medium frame handgun that is designed for self-defense, along with conceal and carry purposes. It stems from the Granite Series Rail and later renamed Revolution Series to feature none rail models, and eventually was renamed Sig's version of the 1911 series models that John Browning designed. The carry version has a shorted frame and slide, along with match grade barrel, hammer, and trigger. The frame and slide have been dehorned to help ensure it does not catch on any material when it is being pulled out for use.

The overall length of the 1911 Carry Nitron is 7.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.2-inches. The frame material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The magazine holds 8-rounds of .45 ACP ammuniton. The grips are custome rosewood, and feature 25-line per inch checkering on the front strap. The trigger pull is approximately 5-pounds for the single action. The sights are low profile night sights with 3 white dots.
