The Sig Sauer 1911 Nitron is the entry lever 1911 model by Sig Sauer. It was designed to be a self-defense handgun that has modern features added onto the 1911 design, including a beavertail safety, left side controls, and a extended thumb safety. The frame and slide material have been de-honed to help ensure less chance of snag while pulling out the weapon to allow for conceal and carry purposes. The Nitron has no accessory rails or mounts for adding additional things on to the frame.

The overall length of the 1911 Nitron is 8.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 5-inches. The slide material is cut from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The frame material is cut from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The grips are custom rosewood, and have front strap checking with a magwell. The magazine holds 8-rounds of .45 ACP ammunition. The trigger pull is approximately 5-pounds of pull for the single action.
