The Sig Sauer P226 Stainless Nitron is a large frame, semi-automatic handgun designed for personal protection, self-defense, and on duty carry purposes. It is no longer cataloged by Sig Sauer, and was made on a German designed frame. It features the 4-point safety system that includes a decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and a trigger bar disconnector. It has an integrated accessory rail for mounting a tactical light or laser onto the frame. The magazine holds 15-rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition.

The overall length of the P226 Stainless Nitron is 7.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.4-inches. The frame and slide material are made from stainless steel, and have a black Nitron finish on both of them. The grips are black hogue polymer and feature front strap serrations. The trigger pull is approximately 4.4-pounds (Single) and 10-pounds (double).
