The Sig Sauer 1911 Carry Nightmare is a medium frame handgun designed for self-defense, recreational, along with conceal and carry purposes. It stems from the Granite Series Rail that was later renamed to Revolution after non-rail handguns were introduced, and eventually a modern update of John Browning's 1911 classic with updated features. Some of the features include mainspring housing, beavertail safety, and an extended thumb safety on the left side. It also has match grade internal and external parts that include a barrel, skeletonized trigger, and a skeletonized hammer.
The overall length of the 1911 Carry Nightmare is 7.7-inches, with a height of 5.5-inches, and a barrel length of 4.2-inches. The frame material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The slide material is made from stainless steel, and features a black nitron finish. The grips are checkered Hogue black G-10 grips with front strap checkering. The magazine holds 8-rounds of .45 ACP ammuniton, or 9-rounds of .357 Sig ammunition. The sights are 3 dot low-profile night sights. The trigger is single action only, and has a pull of approximately 5-pounds.
